The Songer Spinal Cable System® was developed as an alternative to monofilament wire for use in spinal fixation procedures resulting from trauma, degenerative spine or spinal deformity. The system is comprised of both stainless steel and titanium cable that is tensioned and secured via the use of a tensioner / crimper instrument. The system offers many advantages over monofilament wire, including less risk of neurologic injury, ease of use, flexibility, strength and consistency.
